Special Clinical Interests: Dr Till runs specialist clinics for cardiac arrhythmia. These disturbances of cardiac rhythm include atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and supraventricular tachycardia. He sees many patients with palpitations and other symptoms of an abnormal heart rhythm. He performs a full range of cardiac ablation procedures, and also the implantation of simple and complex cardiac pacing devices and defibrillators.
Professional profile: Dr Till trained at Nottingham University Medical School and undertook postgraduate training in the East of England Region and London. Much of his cardiology training was undertaken at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre. During his training he spent two years working with Prof. Martin Cowie at the Royal Brompton Hospital in Chelsea researching the effects of atrial fibrillation in patients with heart failure. This research resulted in the award of the Doctorate of Medicine degree from Imperial College London.
Following the completion of his cardiology training, he moved to the South Coast to undertake a post-CCT fellowship in interventional cardiac electrophysiology. He then took over the leadership of the interventional electrophysiology service at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in 2017. In 2019-2020 he personally undertook over 300 cardiac electrophysiology procedures and, along with his colleagues at NNUH, performs the highest number of procedures per consultant each year in the East of England.
