Health Records Library

The Health Records Library is based at the Francis Centre and is responsible for storing all live and deceased patient health records for the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and supplying medical records for all emergency and elective inpatient admissions and clinic appointments.

To protect the security and confidentiality of patient records, access to the Health Records Library is restricted to NHS staff with a prior appointment to access medical records for audit & research purposes and Trust staff requiring access to the archive. Patients are only allowed to enter the Library if they have applied for access to their health records and have a prior appointment to attend for an access interview or to collect their records.

All visitors must provide proof of identity before they are allowed to enter the building and for NHS staff this will be their identity badges. Attendance can be arranged by contacting the Operational Co-ordinator on 01603 288723.
